About The Operator
Born and raised in New York, Matt has taken the trains to and from Grand Central Terminal regularly since he was 13 years old when he commuted for high school.
Now a licensed tour guide living in Brooklyn, he saw an opportunity to let people experience this space in a particularly magical way: at night, when the splendor of the Main Concourse shines the most.
Matt has spent considerable time solo-traveling throughout Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A, and built this tour with that audience in mind. This is a chance to learn about one of America’s most storied buildings while connecting with others.
Want to see the sites, but big group tours feel like you’re in a herd?
Learn the history of Grand Central Station at a relaxed, social pace.
Join up to 8 other guests for a special night in what is arguably New York City’s most storied building.
Enjoy drinks under 5,000 stars in the Main Concourse while learning about its history, such as how the station was almost destroyed in the 1970s and helped pave America’s Landmark Preservation movement.
Walk Grand Central’s upper and lower levels, discovering little-known facts about the different areas of the building which helped shape New York City and American history.
Finish with a nightcap amongst new friends in a 1920’s era bar in a hidden part of the terminal.
